Kankana Ghosh
After spending 13 years in the corporate world, Kankana chose to follow her heart — first stepping into the world of home baking, and eventually embracing something even closer to her soul: sarees. For her, just owning a wardrobe full of drapes was never enough. She wanted to take her love for sarees to the next level.
Born and brought up in Kolkata, she grew up watching women carry their sarees with effortless grace. Some of her fondest memories are of accompanying her mother on saree shopping trips and eagerly waiting for Durga Puja each year — the perfect excuse to raid her mother’s wardrobe and drape herself in those beautiful six yards.
Her love for sarees blended seamlessly with her love for travel, and that’s how The Drape Story began. She personally handpicks every piece in the collection. For her, every journey is an experience, and every weave carries a story waiting to be told.
